Call for Papers for the ‘Journal of International Business Studies & Economic Review‘
Journal: Call for papers from the International Business & Economics Studies and Related Communities.
The design and implementation of pro-growth and anti-poverty policies and strategies remain a major challenge in all Sub-Saharan International countries. It is widely acknowledged among donor organisations, International policy makers, business leaders as well as the academic community that private enterprise-driven economic growth provides a greater promise for absolute poverty reduction through lowering the levels of real unemployment and strengthening individuals’ capacity to care for themselves and their families. Growth-oriented economic policy and business strategy formulation and implementations in Africa have, however, been weak due to the dearth of knowledge about factors that can ensure sustainable business and economic growth. The International managers and policy makers are therefore in constant search of performance-enhancing management practices.
Journal of International Business Studies & Economic Review (JIBSER) therefore aims to advance both theoretical and empirical research, inform policies and practices, and improve understanding of how economic and business decisions shape the lives of Internationals.
JIBSER is a multidisciplinary journal and welcomes papers from all the major disciplines in economics, business and management studies including (but not limited to):
• Finance and investment
• Organizational behaviour
• Cross-cultural management
• International trade
• Business economics
• Economic Development
The Editor now invites contributions for potential publication in the first volume of the journal.
Submission of a paper
JIBSER accepts papers that may have a continental, regional or country focus. The journal also publishes special issues that are devoted to thematic topics or to sub-regions or countries in Africa. Articles submitted for consideration must explore the extent to which existing theories, models and concepts in economics, business and management can effectively be employed to explain the developmental challenges in Africa. The journal also encourages the development and testing of new theories and models that provide managers and policy makers with novel insights and approaches to addressing their real problems.
In addition, the journal also carries a section titled ‘Practitioner Perspectives’. This section publishes perspectives and cases written by International top executives themselves or in collaboration with researchers. The aim is to encourage practitioner engagement in discussions about management challenges facing Africa today.
Papers should be between 3,000 and 6,000 words in length.
